Problems with Chimp Grip or Stomp Grip not sticking to your bike? You need 3M 94 Adhesion Promoter!

3M Primer 94 Ampules can be used to promote adhesion of 3M tapes to surfaces such as polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, PET/PBT blends, concrete, wood, glass, metal, and painted metal surfaces. We highly recommend using the primer sticks to treat vehicle surfaces to promote the strongest possible bond between it and Chimp Grip or Stomp Grip, especially along the edges. This is important when applying the Traction Pads to challenging surfaces like plastic side panels and/or areas that see heavy abuse from riding boots.

If you are having problems with your Tank Pad not sticking to your bike, this stuff will work!

Only one ampule is required for applying a complete set of Tank Grips, however it can be worth purchasing 2 ampules just to be safe.

Surface mail does not have a tracking number and sometimes takes a little longer, especially during peak periods. Application

3M 94 Primer Sticks should be used to help in the adhesion of your Stomp Grip Tank Pads to bike tank / trim surfaces.

1. First follow the preparation instructions for fitting your Tank Pads. You can use Isopropyl Alcohol, Methylated Spirits or Brake Clean to clean the area before applying the Tank Pad

2. Apply the 3M 94 primer (crush stick at black dot to release the primer fluid) to areas that line up with the Tank Grip pads, especially the edges. TIP: You can apply the Tank Pads first, then if you are seeing places where they are not sticking properly you can peel the edge back and apply the 3M 94 Primer to the tank surface (not the Tank Pad surface).

3. Wait 5 minutes for the 3M 94 Primer to cure, then re-heat the tank surface and the Tank Pad and re-apply the Pad to the tank applying pressure..
